Industrial Sector in Germany FellThe industrial production sector in Germany declined due to lesser construction activity during the and decrease in investment goods output.

Production was down by 1.1% compared to the output in May when it was up by 0.9%, according ot the Economy Ministry in Berlin. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg said that they predict a gain of 0.1%. so far this year, the output was up by 6.7% when adjusted for the days that have work.

According to Mario Gruppe from NordLB, “Today’s data are a negative surprise but no reason to panic. The growth dynamic is slowing but the economy will certainly continue to expand at a robust pace for the remainder of the year.”

Bundesbank says that they predict that the country will be able to grow more this year by up to 3.1% and 1.8% in the year 2012.

Production of investment goods have gone down by 2% from May and consumer goods output was down by 1%.
